Quick lookin' at some things I made happen (also, guess who didn't feel like cropping those screenshots?)
Picking a race to start the game.

The first column of stats is the stats of a given class; the second column is the class' stats as modified by your race's stats
Our Elf Fighter actually fighting some dudes. With them hitting back!
Also of note, the redesigned stats bar on the bottom. Unnecessary stats are now gone from view. They'll be visible in a stats page made for that purpose, but for now only the distilled more-important things show up. It's also been behind-the-scenes redesigned so I can add colors to things, like I did with the current HP.
Atk and Def formulas need some balancing (I keep having to take my armor off in order to take more than 0 or 1 damage...), but for now it's relatively functional.
Enemy pathfinding needs to get fixed. It is hovering somewhere between "nonexistant" and "terrible", so I need to get on that. Especially since getting surrounded might actually be a problem now.
Equipment screen.
Decided to reequip that armor. Mostly to show off the equipment screen but...
Having chosen a slot to equip stuff in, actually equipping it.
One day this screen (which is just a filtered inventory screen) will show item stats as you cursor over them, but for now I'm going to get closer to finishing items first.

ReplyDeleteAlso, add other body parts to the equip list that are obviously jokes, (like spleen, penis, left pinkie, etc.) but give the player a decent item that can be equipped on one of the obviously joke body parts fairly early on, and then not have any other items at all for those body parts in the entire game.
